Junior School

It is a well-known fact that a strong foundation in the lower classes plays a vital role in forging life-long learning competencies.

At the primary stage (Classes I-V) subject areas dealt with are English, Hindi (Second Language), Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), Science, Social Studies, Computer Studies and Arts Education.

English has been treated as the first language and presented in a manner which takes into account multilingualism as a learning resource. The curriculum aims to ensure that all children are provided with learning opportunities that recognise and celebrate their uniqueness, develop their full potential. The focus is on the child as learner, and the use of a variety of teaching methodologies is an essential feature of the curriculum.

Assessment is undertaken in multiple ways – it may include oral /written forms or teacher’s observation or child centred classroom activities such as discussion /dialogue, project work, model making /posters/charts, experimentation, group and individual activities, games /quizzes and maintaining every child’s portfolio, etc.
